Sexy Robot of the Week - HERO 1 - Aug 9th

"And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive" - You know that a robot has had an impact on our culture when Mariah Carey chooses to write a song about it.

Sexy Robot of the Week - HRP-4C - Aug 2nd

So what happens when the brilliant (and lonely) scientists at AIST (Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) put their minds together?  Exactly what you would expect.... they make a female robot.

Tech Advice: Streaming Music... It ain't just the software.

You need to be able to listen to music on your own terms.  Picking a music service is only the first step, and one which most of us have already taken.  iTunes, Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, Google Music, Amazon Cloud Player and the list goes on (that is my way of saying I can't think of anymore music services without doing a Google search).  Each of these services has its own benefit.  However, when it really comes down to it, they essentially provide the same thing; a way to get music from the internet.

The question really becomes what are you looking for?  Some of the services allow you to buy the music (iTunes, Amazon), some of the services allow you to rent the music (Rhapsody, Pandora), and other services are tools to remotely listen to your own music (Google Music, Amazon Cloud Player).  Based on past experience, I know that there is a technological revolution just around the corner... bur for now it seems as if we have hit the proverbial wall.

The question then becomes one of hardware.  How can you most easily access the music you want to listen to?

Sexy Robot of the Week - RoboThespian - July 24th

Get ready to experience a little piston envy.  I had the opportunity to go to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo in Orlando this past year.  While drooling over the latest and greatest theme park attractions, I saw him.  His slender exposed frame, his keen accent.... sure he was slightly effeminate, but hell, he's British.  He is RoboThespain.  More than a mere machine.....

To call him brilliant is an understatement.

Riddlers, and Penguins, and Zombies... oh my. Just a typical night in Arkham

BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY software © 2011 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.
Alright, so no offense to Duke... but the game that I am probably most looking forward to this year is Batman: Arkham City. There has been a lot of teasing going on at Comic-Con regarding the new release, including an unlisted audio clip featuring E. Nigma.

Why I'm Geeking Out!

"Geeking Out" is a term that I use whenever I freak out about technology.  Having worked in the themepark industry (Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Disney World Resort, and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts) as well as working in the console gaming world (Volition, Inc. & THQ), I have had many opportunities to geek out.  Due to respect for my peers and confidentiality, I will not be sharing any proprietary or confidential information.

I will be collecting what I consider the very best news, reviews, and products that I hope will cause you too to geek out.  I will do the work for you, no more searches, this is your one stop shop.  If it is here, then it is worth reading, watching, or purchasing.

Keep geeking out,
-The Chief Geek
